All of Quinn’s love interests have been absorbed in themselves, and have put her down. Artie cares about Quinn and believes in her.

No one has ever treated Quinn with as much respect as Artie has.

Quartie has a believeable, natural, genuine chemistry that no other pairing on Glee has managed to match.

I ship Quartie because I have never seen either person happier than when they are together, they both know what it is like to be second choice, they balance each other perfectly and they have the most genuine and natural chemistry between any two characters I’ve ever seen on Glee.

Quinn and Artie are right for each other, in a way they have been with no one else and could never be with anyone else.

Quartie would be the most balanced couple. They’re both intelligent, they genuinely make each other laugh, and they have so much chemistry. It breaks my heart that they’re putting with with Boner Boy now.
I still have faith!
Just comparing Joe/Quoe to Artie/Quartie a bit. ~NoQuoe.
I got a bit long winded, so…
Every bit of this. So perfect, lovely! I’d also like to add that Artie wants to direct and Quinn has mentioned theatre— another connection that could bring them together in the future.
I agree that Quartie development would have been much better than Fuinn redux. However, I don’t think their friendship has been forced. Quartie has been friends throughout the show, they just haven’t focused on it as much as some of the others. I believe the writers do a lot of pandering (to ships such as Faberry) because they’re more popular. Aside from the little background moments, there have been implications that Artie and Quinn have always been friends in some way. And I agree. I’m both an Artie and Quinn stan. I want to see them happy, and honestly, I saw that most when they were together. Poor Quinn and Artie have both been cursed with love triangles. I just hope it leads to something good this time.
And now I compiled some of the moments that shine on their friendship, and the fact that it has existed for a while now.
SEASON ONE;
Mostly background moments / being dance partners a lot. However, there are a couple of moments that are hard to disregard and that are noticeable without looking for them.

Lean On Me. In Ballad, Quinn and Artie were ballad partners. In the end, the group decided to sing a supportive number to Quinn and Finn. Artie was Quinn’s partner, and Mercedes was the one that pointed out that they should do something for the two, since they were going through this alone. Artie was present during that conversation, and he turned out to be the lead of the song. I will always think that serenade was a lot of Artie’s doing, and if you watch it, he’s pretty much singing to her the entire time.

Dream a Little Dream of Me. While we had finally seen a couple of soft moments for Quinn during her pregnancy, I believe this was the first major one— her reaching out to comfort another, because she cared that he was upset and hurt. Quinn isn’t the type that would do that for just anyone. And Artie doesn’t seem phased by it, because they are friends and it’s not something unusual one would do for another friend.
SEASON TWO;
Sadly, there was a severe lack of Quartie in this season. This would have been perfect to insert anon’s idea of more development over more Fuinn.

A Real Christmas Miracle. This one, I hadn’t really expected. It was a very sweet moment, and if you watch it closely, Quinn was one of the first ones to rush over there to Artie. She cared. She was happy that he was happy.
SEASON 3;
We start to see even more of their friendship / interaction, even before Quinn’s accident.

“It’s sad, I miss her.” The first episode back, and who claims to miss Quinn? Artie does. Out of everyone in that Glee Club: her exes, The Unholy Trinity, Rachel, he’s the one to say it. Maybe because they sat together quite often, but it’s evident there was some sort of friendship there, otherwise they wouldn’t just have Artie randomly be the one to say so. Also, he knew that “know one had heard from her.” How would he know if he hadn’t asked / been concerned?

The Way You Looked At Me. During one of Artie’s most meaningful speeches, who does the camera pan to? Quinn. And what is she doing? Smiling, because she’s proud of him.

Quinn’s Locker. In my opinion, this was one of the biggest clues that she and Artie are indeed, friends - and have been. Along with the pictures of her exes below (Finn, Puck, and Sam) is Artie, right next to Beth. I can’t imagine having a picture of someone that I didn’t consider a special friend in my locker, especially right next to my baby girl, and all of the guys I’ve dated. There could be a lot more there that we don’t know about their relationship, which leads me to this last point…

When Quinn shows up at Rachel’s locker, it’s clear that neither she or Finn have had any contact with Quinn; at least, it seems that way. They’re surprised to see her there, and in the chair— almost horrified, even. And Artie rolls right up behind her as if it’s their daily thing. Then there’s “I’m Still Standing,” which - even though you can notice Artie sort of guiding her where to go at times, Quinn mostly knew what to do. They had practiced— planned this song. Everyone else is shocked to see Quinn, and she has to explain to them what her situation is. But Artie already knows. He practiced with her, and they’re so open with one another that there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that while she was recovering within those seven weeks before returning to school, she had spent time with Artie. And it seems no one else from school.
Of course, it has taken the writers this long to really focus on their friendship / relationship, but it’s always been there. And in a way, I think it hasn’t been so forced such as others within the fandom; I see it as one of the more natural ones, regarding previous points. I know that Quartie would bond on so many other levels rather than the chair; people think they’re complete opposites, but they’re not. They’re both smart and witty, and they don’t take crap from people; they tell it like it is. So I look at the wheelchair situation this way: instead of bonding over something that others could as well, the writers chose a connection that no one else aside from the two of them, could understand.

And, Artie believes in her. I’ll end with that.
